And in the next issue? Only a world exclusive review of Uncharted 2!
The final paragraph states that this is by far the best comic book game on the PS3, and it “rivals” other leading action games on the PS3. This game’s just hit my radar, just waiting for another few review scores similar to that and it’s a must buy.
Any one else notice they’ve got a score for “Street Fighter Alpha 2 (PSN)”, does that mean PAL is getting another old Capcom games 7 years after the states? SWEET!!!
Obviously. But why are the mags doing a review of transformers revenge of the fallen in a SEPTEMBER magazine?
The game was out in late june every game web site had a review why not mags.
i dont buy a magazine to read about games ive been playing for the last week or so.
which is exactly what happend this month, i bought a new mag and its got games released in july.
whats the point of reading about the game if ive been playing it for the last few weeks.
i miss the good old days where mags were the first to get previews of games.
they were 80% previews of games long long off.
10% game reviews.
10% previews of games soon released or other things like hardware or comps.
they were proper mags, the ones these days are more used as a medium to tell us if a game is worth buying or not, they should not be used for that thats what the internet is for.
Because they have been sent a review copy of the game and are obligated to review it, and may not have had chance to review it earlier because they review other, bigger, better games. Besides, you don’t know when they got that review copy. Then it has to be put into the mag, which is limited by pages and millions of other things I couldn’t even mention.
And yeah, obviously previews of games we wouldn’t get to play for years is SO much better than reviews of games I might want to actually buy in the next week. And again, it’s up to publishers to arrange preview sessions, not the magazine, they can’t preview something they haven’t been shown.
