After much success of Xbox 360 launch in U.S and U.K and scheduled to release in Japan on December 10, Microsoft has announced that the company is planning to launch Xbox 360 in Korea, Hong Kong and Taiwan on February 24th and March 2nd respectively.

According to Reuters, Alan Bowman, head of Xbox Asia operation, debated over whether to delay the launch in Asia to meet the current demand over in U.S and U.K market. Moreover, Bowman added “We wanted to make sure within the first six months that we could get the 360 into all existing Xbox 1 markets. I”m very optimistic that demand is going to be significant. We”re working very hard to keep supply up with demand”.

The price of the Xbox 360 will be similar that of the cost in U.S and U.K and Asian gamers will be able to choose from premium package or core package on the day of launch.

Threesixtyvault thoughts: It is evident that Microsoft is so blinded by their desire of global console domination that they forgot about supply and demand that exist in U.S and U.K market. We believe in order to have customer base, satisfying the current live market first would be the priority. There are hundreds of thousands of people currently in U.S and U.K market still waiting patiently for additional supply of Xbox 360 and Microsoft goes on and announces their manifesto destiny? wow just unbelievable. Microsoft should know that Sony will watch this carefully and make sure PS3 launch will be fully ready for the market. We must learn to walk before run folks.
