World at War Map Pack 4: Where for Art Thou?
Well, if you read our post a while ago about Map Pack 4 for Call of Duty 5: World at War, you're probably currently making a face a bit like the guy in the banner above (when you get a moment, tell us how you got your eyes to glow like that, ok?). Well, despite the conspiracy theories and pure conjecture actually seeming like they had something to them other than wishful thinking, it seems that World at War Map Pack 4 is a myth.
Yes, as disappointing as it may be, Map Pack 4 is almost certainly not going to happen. Now, you might be holding onto that final glimmer of hope like it's going to save you from the zombie shown above, and you are welcome to do so, but we're putting our cards on the table right now and saying that, with it being so close to Modern Warfare 2's hugely anticipated release date and the simple fact that there is no word on Map Pack 4 anywhere, it's probably not happening.
You're welcome to keep that glimmer of hope about, though, we'd love to be wrong, DLC is great, so more DLC in the form of Map Pack 4 can only be greater. However, about now, we'd set our sites on Modern Warfare 2. So, instead of wishing for more maps, how about you play the maps you've already got extra hard? Give yourself that much-needed edge for when Modern Warfare 2 releases. We're all going to need it.

It said:

That means Map Pack 4 will come true, have you not had patience all this time?
Sorry to revive a dead topic, but since Treyarch is making CoD 7 (Hopefully Vietnam) they might do something more with zombies in that which will end the story.

i know that everyone is waiting for map pack 4. people said it would be out in september but it wasn't but the dates fall the same way in december so maybe we will get lucky

Treyarch came out with DLC for COD3 long after Modern Warfare came out. They even had a free map. Those guys are money

Map Pack 3 was downloaded more than one million times in one weekend. If only a fifth of those were US downloads at $9.99 each, that would make treyarch two million dollars - never mind how much else in pounds etc.

there has to be a mp4 because treyarch makes millions of dollars off each map pack so why not make another when billions of people are anticipating it? plus they never wrapped up the whole zombie ending thing there is also so many clues i dont know why they wouldn't be creating it. it is taking so long because it probaly is going to be amazing
There probably WILL be a MP4 only because there was a video published after MP3 was released that shows the DLC guys still working hard at treyarch studios. If you still want to use the calander as hope, then ...guess what?.................. The dates all fit into the month of December too. If December passes with no news of DLC, then there probably will be no MP4, but until then you can basically count on MP4 coming out before the end of the year, but probably a few weeks after MW2 comes out. Activision wouldn't let MP4 coincide with MW2's release for fear of splitting sales.

i understand how if it is coming out, itd be too close to mw2,but treyarch kinda cut the storyline off...not even a video or ending in der riese to finish nazi zombies...so its possible that it could be released?

Map Pack 4 will not be coming to us. MW2 will just blow it away anyway, and right now people are saving there money for it. So Treyarch aint gonna sell another one, because people are gonna turn round and say No.. Sorry cant do it, this money is for MW2.
If forgot it's impossible to multitask. Thinking I would be able to play mp4 AND mw2... Man I can't even wrap my head around it. I mind as well throw out all of my other games so I can solely jerk off to modern warfare 2 and modern warfare 2 only.
Who would actually pay money for DLC that will be shelved and forgotten a week later. They should just release a zombie only DLC for free to finish the story and thank us for those extra millions we spent on Map 1 2 n 3.

Map Pack 4 is confirmed, they will not leave us questioning about some story, they have also hinted towards a posible call of duty zombie based game.
It was really stupid to think MP4 would be so close to 3 but what I've been telling my friends is to not lose hope till the last thursday in Oct. it seems unlikely but hell it keeps my brains in my head till the zombies get to it! XD

what evidence can you give that can assure us that map pack 4 will be released on these dates becuase the rumour was that they were to be released on the same date but on september.
I am aware that MW and WaW are done by different developers, but they're published by the same Publisher, who probably wouldn't want DLC from a previous game affecting the sales of the next. Not that it would, really.
You Fail To Realise That Infinity Ward Does The Modern Warfare Games & Trey Arch Does The World At War Series, Meaning Reguardless Of When Modern Warfare 2 Is Coming It Out It Will Have Absolutley No Effect On A Map Pack 4 Release.
Map Pack 4 (Area 51) Will Come Out On X-Box Live Oct. 28th & Then On The PSN Oct. 29th.
