First, it was full retail single player game. Next, it was downloadable multiplayer game. After that, it was reported to be full retail game. Back to downloadable and multiplayer only game according to Phil Harrison at GDC. Now, Sony is denying WarHawk is downloadable only game. When contacted by IGN, Sony flatly denied that WarHawk was indeed downloadable only game. Instead, Sony stated that ?Officially, Warhawk will be released as a Blu-ray-based product.? When asked about Phil Harrison?s comments at the GDC Sony responded that Phil Harrison was misinformed.

“That’s a misinterpretation,” replied Sony’s spokesperson. “Phil was only addressing what the future of downloadable content meant for the industry and how important online support will be for games. He didn’t make any announcements.”

At this point, I wouldn?t be surprised if Sony claimed WarHawk as cartridge based game. Regardless, this game should be on your list if you are a big shooter fan.
