Walmart and Circuit City PS3 allocation information!

More good news from reliable sources in regards to allocation amount for Walmart and Circuit City on the day of PS3 launch.
Walmart - Walmart will receive minimum of 10 premium PS3 consoles. However to find out how many each store is getting you can print out below 2 skus (TOP is PS3 Bottom is Wii) and ASK an Walmart employee or department manager to scan those SKUS to find out how many PS3s and Wiis they are getting.

It says to print out the Sku.. from there how do you find out how many your store is getting
take the UPC to your local Wal-Mart and scan it in on of those price checker thingys
I took it to wal-mart and all they told me was the price, how do i find out how may they are getting?
you have to scan it once it’s physically in the store.
I scanned it once. Is there a way to find out how many they have? Just wondering
So then this is useless until the day of?
unfortunately you do have to wait to scan it once it?s physically in the store, and you have to have one of the employees use one of those big weird hand scanners with a little screen on top, not the ones in the polls for just the price check, or the register scanners. they won’t show you the number in stock. i tried it last night and had the counter person do it, some old lady, she knew exactly what i was doing before i even did it ( “oh is that for the ps3?” ). crazy. they are getting 28 wii’s here but the ps3 was blank and she said they will only know the day off, but this might save some people from standing in line.
someone working at the one by me said the manager of electronics had gotten 3 emails, in the past few days, first saying they were getting 15, then only 2, then a big fat 0 ( but he might be lying according to her), she also said that they might at the last minute, have a raffle for the few that they do it, which they did for the 360. if i were in line for 2 days and then they changed it to a raffle at the last minute i would f__king riot. thats just mean! i have another employee of one on the other side of town taking a bar code to work with here and she will let me know tomorrow what she finds out if anything. that is the one closer to the heart of the city ( nashville ) so it will probably get more, and i would assume a better idea of what the rest of the bigger to mid sized cities are getting. i?ll come back and let you know what i find out.
and thanks to whomever sent out those barcodes.
update. another scan early shows that the one by me ( kind of on the outside of the city not even the major one) will be getting 6 ps3’s, and now 52 wii’s, not 28 like before.
now i just have to make it in line and hope they don’t do the raffle.
SO GO SCAN THOSE CODE PEOPLE - they should all be showing their stocks by now !!!!!

Went to my local Walmart here in Chicago tonight (Tuesday) and 5 guys were already camped out in front. Showed the electronics employee the barcode, but nothing came up on number arriving. He said anywhere from 6 to 10. Best of Luck to all.
How early will WalMart let people start lining up?
Just another update–I just got back from my 24 hour Wal-Mart super store in Little Rock. They are only getting four but people are already lined up…they are allowing people to line up in the garden center.
I then cruised to Best Buy and despite the word (I think on this site) that they aren’t letting people line up until 12:01 AM tomorrow, there was already a row of tents outside the store. Circuit City, same thing.
I had really planned to camp out at Best Buy tomorrow but that plan looks like it won’t work. Good luck, everyone.
BRUTAL!!! - so i ended up sitting outside, yes outside of a 24 hour walmart, second in line starting wednesday at about 3pm. the manager was a total dick, supposedly the only store in town to do this - 30 degrees and raining about 70% of the entire time - finally let us just inside the door for about 7 hours through the night and then back out at morning - again 30 degrees, raining and windy all day. no tents allowed. we went and bought a tarp and some polls from THEM and tucked it around the 10 chairs - better but still sh!t ). they said only 6 systems and then 4 rain checks. at the last minute they said 4-20g - and 10-60g. then they only got the 20g and you had to come back to the get the 60g later via rain check ( truck stuck in bad weather??? but only 3 hours drive away and left at 8 pm the night before??? liars!!!!! ). i got a 60g and my brother got a 20g.
this shit is NICE. up to the hype regardless of what some places are saying. just the little stuff like realtime lighting and shadow casting is amazing to watch (covering up lights and watching the shadowplay). controllers are rad. was it worth it. well i guess in a few days my body will forget the pain and shit and the prices will go crazy for a while, so yes its was worth it. made some good friends and had some good laughs, eat some bad food. only one fight over the last spot. no guns or blood.
just walmart being complete dicks about the whole thing. F_CK YOU WALMART
