Valve finally developing games for PS3?

When the Orange Box was released on the PS3 and Xbox 360, PlayStation gamers felt like they got ‘the short end of the stick’, as Valve's PS3 version of the package was far inferior in various respects - in fact, it is believed Valve eventually cast off the project to some EA studio to finish.

The salt in the wound was Valve's president voicing his preference for Xbox over PlayStation, and not surprisingly Left 4 Dead came to exist as a 360 exclusive. Getting an idea as to why PS3 owners are a little upset with the developer? Well now change is in the air, as Valve is looking into the possibility of doing some work on the mighty PS3.

Chet Faliszek of Valve explained:

“Before we do anything on the PS3 we need to be able to support it in the right way, but we’ll look at it, and I’m sure down the road we’ll do it”.

It's reassuring that, if they do it at all, they want to do it right. Whether this will win bak the support of PS3 gamers is up to Fate, but maybe we'll be seeing some of the Left 4 Dead games heading our way in the months (or years) to come.

The saddest part of what Valve have done is that I really did enjoy HL2 and the extra episodes....But after the OB debacle I can't trust them so I won't be buying any of their products.

To quote Lazerbyte from above
"The party has started you were invited but declined the invitation so GO AWAY!!"

Well said Lazerbyte :-)

Grey is my Alias my 360 and Wii including the Wii Fit all are sitting collecting dust while all 4 PS3's are working daily in my house. So i know first hand how you feel. They do make a great paper weight.

As for Valve i think after purchasing the mediocre OB game. I'm done with them. They can keep their Sh!t on the 360. I can careless. I am having a ton of fun on my PS3 and looking forward to all the new hit titles that are on the way. Ie Bad Company 2 and God of War 3.. Sweet...

LFD isn't that great of a game anyhow!

So they can keep it as 360 exclusive as they are not happy with PS3 and when the PS3 does finally take over reign as the console champ where will Valve be? Now where crying why they didn't jump on PS3 soon!

Hey Valve you have a lot of pissed of PS3 people and I think it would show if you did come out with a game that it wouldn't sell very well with all the ugliness you have given to the PS3!

Stay with your mediocrity and keep being lazy and making games for the PC and 360 it's what you know and you don't want to take risks so say and follow the safe path!

When that gets old and tired don't come running to us as the door is closed and we don't want or need you!

The party has started you were invited but declined the invitation so GO AWAY!!

Screw valve. Oh you hate PS3? Guess what, my PS3 gets money spent on it, guess you hate my money then. I own a 360 and wii as well I just prefer my PS3. If they want to hate my money I guess my 360 won't be seeing any valve products either.

I wouldn't support them anyway if they did come out with PS3 games it a little too late now if you ask me!
