Unreal Tounament 3 Gets First Mod
In what is sure to be the first of many user created mods to hit Epic Games’ Unreal Tournament 3, we can only imagine how many will follow. Until then, Thomas Browett (aka Setheran) has created DM-Shrine, and Epic has brought his PC version to the PS3. Basically, Epic reformatted the code to work on a PS3. It’s nice to see game companies allowing user content to proliferate on consoles. This type of give-and-take between developers and players has been fairly common amongst PC gamers but has yet to really take stride on consoles. With Hard Drives and faster processors now standard on most consoles it’s likely the mods will start to pop up more and more, no doubt bringing the gap between console and PC users together.
