Evan Wells, co-president of Naughty Dog, has said that a release date for Uncharted 2: Amongst Thieves will be announced ‘very soon’, says Eurogamer. There’ll also be another multiplayer demo before it’s released, though the time frame hasn’t been finalised, which will have a much wider selection; ’so if you missed the last one I don’t think you’ll have any problem getting in this one.’ In addition, he also gave a lot of other details involving the multiplayer and singleplayer, which you can see below…

• The final game will come with ’several’ more competitive multiplayer modes and two more cooperative modes than were shown in the beta. The coop modes are some of his favourites, apparently, which can only bode well for them.
• ‘We also have variations on all the competitive modes that focus on specific kinds of weapons’, which we take to mean single-weapon deathmatches/etc.
• You will be able to record online matches, after which you can store, upload and share the videos. Which is awesome.
• The single player will be much longer than the first game’s was – he says there are 90 minutes of just cinematics.
• You won’t need to have played the first game to know what’s going on in the second, though a couple of characters, such as Sully and Elena, will return.
• Finally, in case you haven’t already heard, there is an Uncharted movie in production, which is either good news or bad. Just cross your fingers, ok?
