According to Mygen,
A Finnish magazine has recently scored an exclusive interview with Ubisoft regarding their up coming Xbox 360 exclusive Splinter Cell: Conviction. Here you can see some great looking screenshots and a tonne of information that is in Finnish. The main parts have been translated, and as you can see, the developers are saying this won’t be possible on the Playstation 3 as it stands.

Interesting read. It’s one thing if a developer such as Epic Games or Team Ninja makes such a comment since they are on Microsoft’s payroll. Ubisoft, at least as far as I can tell, is neutral. Then again, maybe Microsoft paid Ubisoft to make such a statement. I don’t know but this news is interesting.

Judging by how poorly they ported Splinter Cell Double Agent, this doesn’t surprise me. The Splinter Cell developers just don’t seem to have the PS3 coding skills that they need to put out a really good game for PS3. I’m really hoping the GRAW2 and RS:Vegas developers have what it takes.
