Treyarch reveals Call of Duty: Black Ops release date
Treyarch’s next Call of Duty title, Black Ops, will hit shelves on November 9th this year. Or is that September 11th? Don’t you Americans know we Brits don’t use the MM/DD/YY date format?
This information comes via the newly-launched official website for the rumoured-to-be Vietnamese-themed first-person shooter, which went live very recently. While the website itself lacks any kind of enlightening intel, there is at present a single blog entry that reads:
“We at Treyarch are excited to reveal our latest development – Call of Duty: Black Ops! Be sure to head over to CallOfDuty.com/blackops as more details begin to unfold! Follow @JD_2020 and @Treyarch on Twitter for the latest news & discussions regarding Black Ops.”
What more is there to say? Oh yeah, I almost forgot. The teaser trailer for Call of Duty: Black Ops will debut today at 12:40am on GameTrailers TV. Be there!

From what I've seen and heard so far, this is shaping up to be a decent title. Keep posting the news guys.
P.S. LMAO at the 9/11 debate. Talk about making something out of nothing Michael... :)
A MUST BUY! A lot of hard work has been put into this game. Years of blood, sweat and tears. Mostly sweat from hours of online gaming. If you liked COD2, you will love Black Ops. See you guys online. 11.9.10

@Michael - you didn't just render an opinion but rather made an assumption of fact - that the author was making a 9/11 joke at the expense of the NYC victims and *then* you rendered an opinion, mainly that said (falsely assumed) joke was in poor taste which I would actually agree with you on, if such a joke had been made. You're getting railed here because of your false factual assumption, not your opinion.
Common tactic of those who want to make ad hominem attacks is to bury a statement of fact inside of an opinion, hoping the listener/reader will not notice that the fact is, in itself, inaccurate as they focus on the opinion. Better avoid that or else those with three functioning brain cells will see right through it. Those with only two will praise the wisdom of Simon Cowell :-O.

Michael, seriously, a 9/11 joke? Where? I think you're reading something different to the rest of us!
@Thomas
You are... who? Do I know you? Apologies for having an opinion. I guess we all know how big a crime that is on the internet. =)
@Michael - friend, talk about looking for douchebaggery in the article when maybe you should look in the mirror...

Glad I'm not the only one who thinks that comment is outrageous... cheers guys.

@Micheal who is doin 9/11 jokes? Not Craig, he was just pointing out that they don't use the mm/dd/yyyy (11/9/2010) format, they use the dd/mm/yyyy (9/11/2010) format so to them it would appear to be released on September 11th. So please read carefully and fully before you call someone "tasteless" or call them out on a non existent joke
9/11 jokes? Tasteless.
Just seen the trailer on GT, looks like the story telling will be flashbacks. Perhaps you're playing the member who got captured and currently being tortured for info? I'm waiting to see more of this at E3 if they do make an appearance. Let's just hope this game will help Activision regain their stride.
That's just fine , but , i'm waiting for "THE LINE" and it'll be a
little time and then it will send shivers up and down my spine !
as always your friend , Sean Devlin
