Thieves stole 6 Playstation 3 from GameStop

Detectives are continuing their search for three suspects who fled Monday night with several video game systems following a robbery of a Monroe store.
Monroe County sheriff’s Detective Joe Hammond said three robbers were involved in the heist at the GameStop, 2233 N. Telegraph Rd., which is in a strip mall near Lowe’s. It initially was thought that two suspects were involved.
Detective Hammond said the thieves targeted PlayStation 3 systems. They entered the store about 7:30 p.m. and acted as customers. They then implied they had a weapon and tied up the two workers, Detective Hammond said. They forced them to lie on the ground.
When the trio left, they also reportedly stole the victims’ wallets in addition to about six of the video game systems.
The three are described as black males between 20 and 30 years old and standing between 5-feet-10 and 6 feet. One was thin, one was stocky and the third was heavy, Detective Hammond said. One wore sunglasses, but the others did not attempt to conceal their identity.
