TerraSoft, Linux distributor, is taking pre-orders for PS3 loaded with Linux OS. TerraSoft already has Linux capable of running on PS3 prior to PS3 launch. The PS3 will not be modified in any other way except the addition of Linux OS. For $650, TerraSoft will install Linux on 60 GB version of PS3 and include DVD, installation guide, sticker, and a plush dog toy named Flippy. Also, TerraSoft will offer seminar to game developers on how to best utilize Cell architecture.
