Sony launched a site for PAL PS3 owners to check compatibility for their PS1 and PS2 games. As most readers know by now, PAL PS3 is missing the Emotion Engine to properly run PS2 games. According to Kotaku.com, the list represents 72% of the entire games released for PS1 and PS2. With firmware updates, the list should grow steadily. The games listed on the list are with the new firmware update 1.60.
