Sony launches PlayStation Store cards in the US
Purchasing items from the PlayStation Store has just gotten a hell of a lot lot easier, as Sony has launched PlayStation ‘Entertainment Cards’ to stores across the US.
These cards will allow you to buy a price value which you can imput into the PlayStation Store for spending purposes, which is useful for those without access to credit. Initially available in US $20 and USD $50 price points, the cards will available in branches of Blockbusters across the US, but will eventually spread out to the usual variety of retail outlets.
Each card will contain a scratch-code which you can enter into the account management section on your PS3, with the price value being added instantly. It’s simple, its functional, and its damn well overdue!
There’s no word yet on a European or worldwide release of this cards, but we’ll keep you posted.
