Sony Delays PS3 Home (Again!)
Well, you’ve waited, waited, and waited some more. Well, at least you’ve had practice. Sony announced this morning (Tuesday) that it would delay the much anticipated “Home” 3D Virtual World and online community for the PlayStation 3. The new release date is sometime in Autumn of this year. “Home” was originally supposed to be released last Autumn but delayed until this Spring.
Similar to Second Life, the world will allow users to decorate their homes, play games, and customize the chat rooms. ”We understand that we are asking PS3 and prospective PS3 users to wait a bit longer,” Sony Computer Entertainment Chief Executive Kazuo Hirai said in a statement.
“But we have come to the conclusion that we need more time to refine the service to ensure a more focused gaming entertainment experience than what it is today.”

Same old, same old..
I’m a sony guy through and through. I love the other consoles but my allegiance to sony has been unwavering. But with all the delays, I fail to see what I base my love of this company on. Delays for Home, delays for games, etc… a firm release date on playtv, nope. We are unfortunately being screwed over lots at the minute. Despite this, it is mostly developers and not sony itself that are screwing us, but hey, tell all the xbox fanboys that we get most of what they get for free, whils they pay we are spending more money on games, and hardware thats any good for what its worth.

How much longer am I going to have to wait. Come autumn, its going to be delayed til Spring 09. They might as well just program the fucking thing for PS4.

You people are slightly annoying. If you had any sense, you’d prefer they delayed it and got it perfect than release it when it doesn’t fucking work (read: Metal Gear Online beta).
Games are delayed so they can make them better, as good as they can get, not to piss us off or screw us over.
$50 a year for LIVE is a better value than all of the delays you PS3 boys have to put up with. I promise I will own a PS3 when Tekken comes out. That game is worth buying a console to me. That and BluRay of course. But it’s really difficult to sit hear and read how many of you justify all of these delays and dissapointments. Sony is your gaming brand and investment…fine. Thats legit. But delay after delay is just bad PR and bad customer satisfaction no matter who you are or what you buy…PERIOD
i had crappy xbox 360 decided when it was too late(60gb ps3 taken off the market) but still traded my crappy xbox 360 in and got a 40gb ps3 its the best machine by far i aint had any problems with my ps3 i was on my 4th xbox 360 and just think the wait for home will be worth if up yours xbox bum boys
