Designtechnica News reports Electronic Arts will reduce some of their titles such as NBA Live 06, NASCAR 06, and Burnout Revenge to around $40 dollars. The reasoning of proactive approach is to "spur sales on lower-selling titles in a weaker-than-normal video game market as both retailers and consumers hold their breath in preparation for the November 22 launch of Microsoft's Xbox 360, and Sony's PlayStation 3 in early 2006."

Reuters is also reporting that sports titles such as Madden 06, FIFA 06, and along with other 06 titles may see 20% reduction.
