Socom Confrontation Has Major Issues

i really can't believe it, been looking forward to this game for so long, then it comes out, and the fucking network never works. honestly i want my money back or something. usually when i buy a game for 60 bucks it works but not in this case i guess, i can't even play a mission play or anything
pep, you have to delete anything to do with socom on the saved data utility folder, under game on the XMB(what does that mean?) then start the game up again....
i'm from englendand, i picked an american version and you wouldn't beleive all the problems im having...
today (november 1st 2008 anybody else having problems) for example...
*it took me 5 atempts to sign in to the playstation network, only to be signed out again 5 minuites later
*when i got on to socom, it said initializing network, then network initilization failed, i must have got this about 5 times... then i signed in got on and a little message kept poping up, cant remeber what it said i got on but couldn't edit my loadout, couldn't log in to a channel.
*as i write this i cant even sign in to the PSN, never mind socom.
but it isn't the first game to have server problems, every game has these problems, it could almost be fact
i dont no why your all moaning about the price, they make a product, offer it to you at a price. its YOUR choice weather you take it or leave it. i chose to take it...
my advice is to ride it out, dont let it bother, then try tomorow. it wont mean end of the world...
Anyone having issues with "cannot save user profile. Data my be corrupt," message. How could I fix this problem. My stata do not save and therefore I can't unlock anything. Anyone?
Any online game will have (initial) server problems. Get used to it. [nvrquit] has a fair point since this game is online-only, so servers and connection should be a priority.
Again, get used. More and more games will be released without having the major bugs fixed.
Just take a good look at EA's FIFA09....had to be released due to the footie-season but the game is loaded with so-called LOCalisation- and FUNCtionality bugs.
Any tester would have reported this...but money needs to made by EA and time is of essence since PES09 was about to be released as wel....

Poor people. You seriously think that SOCOM will never be patched? First patch is around the corner, online games allways need to get a patch or two to work. I'll get this game no matter what.
You people are acting like it's the only game to experience server problems.
ive played socom since the 1st one came out, day 1. socom 2 was great. I would of been happy with a rerelease of the socom 2 with updated graphics. only 7 maps is a joke. its not about geting tired of the maps, its about being ripped off. think of how much they could of fit on a blu ray disc. and no single player to play well the servers are down. the game play is fun, but when u get a bunch of friends together for a socom night on a weekend and the servers shut down is a joke. the game should been delayed and pack with more maps. i will pay for the old maps when they are released, and im sure everyone will, but its wrong when they could of pack this discs with all the old maps and charged for new ones. But they know every just wants there old socom 2 back. the game that many people planned entire nights around. carry there heavy t.v.s over to friends houses to have clan wars with. this game has really let me down.
I beta tested this. This has come a long way from the initial beta release. Yes there are definitely still issues and I won't argue maybe they should have delayed release a short period. I have been booted from games, servers gone down, etc.
However, I have also played for long periods with no issues. I have been playing Socom since the first release and I feel the gameplay is very good. I think by the time everyone really gets tired of the 7 maps, new content will be out. Heck, I know I have gone weeks in past versions where all I played was solely either FF, Desert Glory or Crossroads.
I told them before they published it, I warned people on Amazon - the software is still in what I would concider (as a programmer myself) ALPHA quality, I think they should have done as many others have done in the past and just delayed their release - since I beta tested their game, I've removed it from my wish list (and my birthday is on 31st of this month, their loss!) and replaced it with the bluetooth headset instead, as I still want the headset but refuse to waist 10$ on that game, its seriously that bad IMO!
You think they would of know how many people were going to get the game with the beta and had the servers fixed. All the problems they had in the beta are the exact same problems there having now. I can believe there is only 7 maps. im very interested in seeing how much there are going to charge for new/old maps.
game is not worth the money. online only and with only 7 maps and the game doesnt even work. should of never been released.
