Rock Band 2 Gets PS3 Release Date

Get ready to call in sick, tell the girl (or boy) friend you’re busy and start practicing your air guitar skills. Rock Band 2 now has an official release date for the PS3. Sadly, it is about a month after the release date for the XBox 360 which comes out on September 14th. Then, on October 19th, the far superior PS3 version will be released. Finally, approximately one month later, the Wii version will come out.

Microsoft paid 15 million dollars to.harmonix and MTV for a one month exclusive over Sony. its only because ps3 sales of rock band beat out the 360’s 3 to 1.
i think sony should pay the money for rockband to come out first on ps3 because everyone loves ps3 and rock band. it just makes sense
i think playstation 3 should come out with more exclusive tracks for rock band 2 because xBox 360 is really slow on getting song…. plus on the 360 it lags way more…..
the only reason why it is coming out earlier is because xbox had to have made a large business deal with rockband to postpone tha release for the ps3… only logical explanation… so xbox can try 2 take ps3 owners
I cannot wait for it to come out. I have mastered the singing on RB1 and I love the song list of part two. I cannot wait, I will be one of the people sitting in line at midnight.

the ps3 dominates th 360… it’s not even funny! th ps3 version cums out after th 360 version cuz th ps3 version of rock band 2 is beter than th rock band 2 on th 360. ps3 is soooooooooooooooooo much beter than th 360.

Wow, its a shame that people are so ignorant, i own both consoles, and the first rockband is IDENTICAL, on each, however, the PS3 glitches sometimes, like during drum solos and during loading new tracks… and the Xbox has a wired guitar.
What evidence is there that the YET-TO-BE-RELEASED RB2 for PS3 is “SOOOOOO much better than the already released 360 copy”??

Yeah I played both versions. They’re exactly the same. I own both systems and I went for the PS3 version simply because it has a bigger hard drive [160GB] compared to the 360’s 20GB I have [only 8GB of free space left]. I just wanted more space for song releases.
Rock Band 2 FTW!
PS3 weenies, what company makes Rockband? Is it physically possible to come out with the same game for all systems? By natural progression, the band comes out with one system before the next. Otherwise the company would not turn a profit while awaiting the completion of the game for all systems involved. The only thing better about PS3 is that all the updates are available immediately, where as Xbox has to wait until expansion packs. So Xbox is inferior and we know this.
The rock band version of the ps3, without a doubt, will be similar to the 360 one. But i, too, am a “ps3 fanboy” lol. And what gets me is that the 360 had to go steal games from the ps3 (GTA, Guitar Hero, etc.). Man you don’t see ps3 buying the gears of war company or halo. And forget the fact that they stole games, they stole the best of the best, games that only the ps3 was known for. Other than that, I have nothing against the system.

D.L.C on the 360 is done in packs. Meaning it usually releases on the ps3 faster
To XboxBlows Microsoft didn’t steal games form Sony, they paid the developers for limited or complete exclusivity.
Also Sony will Never (that’s with a capital N) buy gears of war or halo, simply because gears is published under Microsoft games and Microsoft owns the rights to the halo franchise.
The developers are simply going to the system with the highest attach rate TO SELL MORE GAMES…….

The Xbox version came out earlier because they paid to have a one month exclusive period. The games that came to the 360 that were initially PS exclusive came for the simple reason of making money. The PS3 doesn’t sell as much as the 360 (for good reason in my opinion). It only makes sense that if a different console has a larger player base that you accommodate your business to better serve your interests, such as say making money. That’s why they moved to the xbox, to sell more copies to a larger player base. All you PS3 fan boys are pathetic. The games will be identical and your opinions are meaningless. Gotta love how the internet allows idiots to share their beliefs en masse.
