Namco has recently made announcement that Ridge Racer 7 is currently in development for PS3. The popular car racing series enjoyed much success since the first Ridge Racer came out for Playstation 1 and the tradition continued onward for several years. The game will be developed and produced by Hideo Teramoto and Masaya Koyabashi, both Ridge Racer veterans. Furthermore, Namco also said at E3, people will be able to see either playable demo of RR7 or trailer or some sort.Here are some of the features of the latest Ridge Racer installment:

• 14 player online racing with potential co-op mode.
• Customize cars and compare them with friends” online.
• Single-player game will consist of more than 160 races.
• Time Attack and Single Race modes.
• Hiroshi Okubuo will take charge of the game”s soundtrack.
• Fans to whom names like Okubuo and Kobayashi resound will also be pleased to learn that series mainstay Reiko Nagase, the lady who appears in the trailers and intro movies, will be returning for the series” seventh outing.
