Another little birdy told me a very interesting story about the next Call of Duty. Developers of the eighth Call of Duty title in the series - Sledgehammer Games, have been revealing plot details of the next title.

There are three developers now working on Call of Duty; Sledgehammer Games, Treyarch, and of course, Infinity Ward and that  title remains unnamed as yet. Sledgehammer Games co-founder Glen Schofield today tweeted the first plot details of the studio's sequel, "Working w/ military guys- their stories will blow you away. Names/locations will change but some situations going in the game- real stuff!"

Near the beginning of this year, Activision's Thomas Tippl announced that Sledgehammer Games' Call of Duty sequel is, "going to be an innovative take that will further broaden the audience for Call of Duty." More detaild of this announcement can be found here.

The website NowGamer has also noted that  this news comes as Treyarch revealed the first Call of Duty: Black Ops multiplayer trailer.
