Today, Ready at Dawn announced that their upcoming PlayStation Portable version of the popular God of War franchise, God of War: Chains of Olympus has hit gold status, meaning its development is complete, putting the game on track for its release in the US early next month.

Chains of Olympus is a prequel to the original God of War title, which made its original début on the PlayStation 2 in 2005.

God of War: Chains of Olympus is due out in North America on March 4. A European release date has yet to be announced, but should hopefully be forthcoming.
