PSN Europe update…sort of
Thursday rolls around again and that means it’s time for a PSN update. Well, unless you’re of European extraction. In that case the term update acquires a strange new meaning whereby very little actually changes. A few things have turned up, don’t get me wrong, but it’s hardly stellar stuff…
Ready folks? Here we go: a new GH3 “Modern Metal” pack (yours for £3.99), Elefunk trailer and Pixel Junk Monsters theme are there for the taking. You know, getting updates is a good thing. I still get excited about PSN Thursday, despite having my hopes repeatedly raised and then dashed expertly. However, it just feels like the EU is the Bermuda Triangle of Planet Sony. Have we done something wrong? Must we repent our gaming sins?
In addition, you can also upgrade your system to firmware 2.17. Again, nothing groundbreaking but some improved stability for online PS3 titles. With all the rumours of a PSN store refresh a-la-Sing Store we can only hope that a fresh lick of paint will be accompanied by some SCEE love.

I suppose it technically counts as an update, but…
Come on Sony… Whith the US in recession and Asia soon to follow.. Europe is where the money is… Time to friggin invest in it! I don’t understand why Europe is such a ‘backcountry’ to you guys.
We always get everything last, but theres big money in the EU…and it is a big place with a lot of rich folks.
