PS4 in 2012?
David Reeves, Capcom’s European Chief Operations Officer and the man behind the PlayStation’s launch all those years ago, believes the next next-generation consoles - the PS4 and Xbox whatever-they-call-it - could be with us as early as 2012. Speaking with GamesIndustry recently, he said without any qualms that first-parties have “got to be working on something”.
During the interview, Reeves confirmed that Capcom intends to develop titles for both Microsoft’s Kinect and PlayStation’s Move, and will be embracing 3D gaming. While that’s great news and everything, we want you to pay particular attention to the final sentence of his statement below:
“We’re working with Microsoft and with Sony on both sides and trying to match up the IPs we have with what the first-parties want. It’s not a forced fit. In some ways it’s quite a natural way of progressing. Capcom is definitely going to embrace it and just as the first-parties are doing, we see it as another blip before we come into the next cycle. 3D gaming is the same - anything they can add to revive and pique interest in the games until we have another clash of the titans in two years time.”
The first PlayStation was launched in 1994. The PS2 came six years later in 2000, and the PS3 six years after that in 2006. Anyone else notice a pattern emerging?
Maybe Reeves knows something we don't. Let’s see what the future brings.

Reddead.us has become a safe haven for cheaters on Red Dead Redemption. One of their administrators, RRS187 is quick to ban anyone that confronts any of his friends for cheating. Meanwhile there are different rules that apply to these cheaters. They can disrespect whoever they want without any concern of being banned. Several people have filed complaints against RRS187 but nothing has been done. Another chick on Reddead.us is M1. The mods and admins let hm get away with everything. I personally know three people that have been banned over the last week. RRS187 has got to go. If you are a legitimate gamer stay as far from this website as possible.
El_cubano_1250 aka cuban_gang_alex is a known cheater on Red Dead Redemption for the Playstation 3. This cuban bitch uses a modded PS3 console with an aimbot, modified controller and the invincibility glitch in gang matches.
ShadowRaven9 is a well respected moderator on one of the Red Dead websites and confirmed our cheating claim with this comment.

The ps3 can do a lot of damage in the next two years with some big releases (i.e. killzone 3, lbp 2, etc.). Then I could possibly see a ps4 "announcement" in 2012 but as far as the six year streak is concerned....doubtful

@Tom, I've seen 'pictures' of the PS4 for years now...a little 3D software and/or PhotoShop and I could make a PS5 ;-)

They could potentially announce some of the details regarding the next generation consoles, but I share Dave's thoughts that it won't be released on the market till at least 2014.
I'm going to go with, neah,not gonna happen in this time frame. The PS3 just became profitable for Sony on a per console basis and with developers always harping on how they're only partially tapping the power of the PS3 (we all know the 360 was tapped out years ago :-D) I'd say it'll be a few more years. Maybe 2014 would be my guess.
It would be nice if we see GT5 before the next playstation is released!
