  17. It would be an honor to write for your website. I have been playing videogames for as long as i can remember. I started with the NES, back in 1985 at the wonderful age of 5. I was hooked! I am a full time CNC operator/ College Student. I am going to college to get a Bachelors of Science in Information Technology with a minor in Business. I wanted to be a videogame programmer, but I dont like to owe money; student loan were to much for me to handle so I went to a less expensive school closer to home.

I would like to thank you for the opportunity, and I hope to hear form you soon.

  18. I am an english major and struggeling writer, i was wondering if this was a paid job for publishing or free, either way i’d be glad to help as an long time playstation player and fan.

  19. I’d love to be part of your staff, I know everything there is to know about the Sega Saturn so if it’s Saturn news you’re after, I’m the best choice. I also have a SNES, Game Gear and Tamagotchi in the cupboard somewhere.

  20. I have very good writing abilities, im half done with a book that already has publishers begging me to finish. I currently own a PS3 and play daily for hours at a time, and I’m online all the time reading up on it. I would love this oppurtunity if given and im sure you guys would find me fun to work with and a good laugh.

  21. I would love to be a part of your website staff I love my PS3, I know a lot about technology, and electronics, and I major in english. I would love to do this for free. I would also love to learn more than I already know about Sony and PS3’s

  22. I am a published author (ISBN1-4241-8727-3, Journals of the Green) and have considerable time on my PS3. I’m an experienced researcher and always get my work done by deadline. I’d like to try this.

  23. Oh yeah I forgot to mention my credentials. I have over 5 Sega Saturn games, including Virtua Fighter, Pandemonium (I think that came out on Saturn) and that crappy Euro 96 one. I’m also a keen gardener, and there’s nothing I enjoy more than tending to my overgrown bush whilst watching Lara Croft on my screen.

  24. Oh and I once played Tekken 3 at the arcade and kicked Nina Williams’ ass then pretended to have a ham shank over her unconcsious sexy torso.

  25. I own all PlayStation models (original to PS3 and PSP), including the competions consoles (xbox/360) along with some older ones, not too mention the fact that I also have the PlayStation 2 Linux Development Kit. I also have about a dozen computers on my local network which are used for various purposes when programming, modeling and producing music.

I have been using and abusing computers and consoles for over 20 years, not just playing these games but learning how to write them and produce content for said games.

An extreme gamer who can spend hours, even been days before, playing games just to get the next cut scene.

Favourite game so far: Resistance Fall Of Man
    Least favourtie: Gran Turismo 5
Planned purchases: BIA Hells Highway, RaceDriver GRID, and on, and on.

Have fun and may the source be with you.

  26. Ps3 Vault

I would really like to merge my experience in research with this fabulous site and help make it the best ps3 site. I will only do my best by bringing the hottest and fresh information out there for all fans and gamers. Also by using my bilingual skills for our Spanish speakers so they can illustrate themselves in this site as well.
    thank you,

  27. I would like to join you guys in researching and writing for the PS3. I have been playing video games for about 21 years. I was a big MMO played when they first started showing up. I played games like UO, AC, CoV, and eventually WOW of course. after raiding on wow 7 days a week for almost a year i decided to quit MMOs and move on to the next gen systems. I really cant stop playing the PS3, currently I have about 15 different games. I love pretty much every genre. But what interests me most about the PS3 would be its software capabilities. The fact that people are developing software to run PS2 .iso backs straight from the HDD interests me. Either way I do have a lot of free time at my current job, I do tons of reading on the lastest of anything PS3 and would love to be a part of all that.

    Thank you.

  31. PS3Vault,
Although I,m not an accomplished writer.I am a great fan of Sony Playstation.I own the PSX,PS2,PSP,and PS3.
I like a variety of games. It all depends on the playability of the game I also look for details in the graphics that alot of my friends/co-players overlook.
I do read reviews, and I listen to what my friends like, but again my taste in games vary.
I compare it to different tastes in music. If we all liked the same things wouldn’t that be a boring virtual world?
I would give my honest opinions of games and consoles, plus the pros and cons, and let the consumer decide.
It would be a pleasure to write for PS3Vault

  32. Although I don’t own a PS3 at present (selling my Wii to get one) I have beta’d and written about many games over the years of having consoles (If a C64 can be called a console for a starting point).
I used to made mods/skins/etc.. for Quake 3 and UT.

I work from home so can be online pretty much all day everyday.

  33. i would love t work for this site i play alot of oblivion and no alot about it and could make about 5 pages of cheats and usefull glitches i am almost positive you guys dont pay for ppls eforts but if you do i dont need the money so i work for free and i am on the computer prety much everday between 3:30 and 5:30 with a 45 minit break for super so just email me so i can rite some things for for the ps2TM and the ps3TM.

  34. I would defintley be interested in getting on board with you guys here at PS3 vault. Im a big fan of the gaming industry as a whole but especially the PS3 side. I have been doing game reviews for a short time now and have been really enjoying them and I am looking to branch out further there a little bit and move into the journalism side of the gaming industry. I have also recently just started my very own blog just to share my views on gaming related topics etc. Any more info you need feel free to contact me.

  35. I am more interested in PS3 than my own girlfriend, I play it so much it has broken 3 times.
Playing PS3 is like making love to a lady!
You need to hold it… put your disc in the slot… press the right buttons… and then empty your wallet!
    But seriously,
If something is gash I’ll say it’s gash, if it’s nob-on iI’ll say it’s nob-on, no matter what the hype! (or freebies)
I currently have plenty of spare time as I was made redundant.
I am excellent at writing and spelling (Isn’t spell check great!)
Anyway if you want truth with a liberal sprinkling of wit then You Need Me!

How to use external hard drive on your ps3

Trying to format a large external USB or Firewire hard drive to the FAT32 file system? Can’t do it? Only see an option for formatting the drive using the NTFS file
format? Well if you answered yes any of those questions, then you’re at the right place.
I was recently trying to format my 1 TB MyBook external hard drive in Windows XP to FAT32 instead of the overly forced-upon NTFS format. Why? Well because I needed to connect it to a NAS device and the NTFS permissions were causing the NAS not to be able to access the drive. Simple solution is to use FAT32, no security, no problems. Though it’s sometimes useful to format a USB drive in NTFS format.
Also, formatting a drive in FAT or FAT32 will allow it to be read by other operating systems, such as Mac, Linux, and older versions of Windows such as Windows 98.
Unfortunately, Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 will only format a removable drive in FAT32 if it’s less than 32GB! Hmmm…that pretty much cuts out ALL modern external hard drives!
However, Windows can format a drive that is larger than 32GB in FAT32, but you have to use the DOS command prompt. However, if you have a drive that is 1TB or larger, you may still get an error saying “The volume is too big for FAT32”.
In that case, you can use a free program called SwissKnife that will allow you to format an external hard drive that is up to 2TB in size. Let’s go through both methods. In case you are having problems getting your external hard drive to show up in Windows, read my article on how to change the drive letter for an external drive in Windows.
    Format external drive
    in FAT32 using DOS
Open a command window by going to Start, then Run and typing in CMD.

Now type in the following command at the prompt:
    format /FS:FAT32 X:
Replace the letter X with the letter of your external hard drive in Windows. Windows will go ahead and begin formatting the drive in FAT32!
    +

Create a folder system identical to that on the Playstation 3 by creating folders labeled “Picture” (not Photo), “Music”, “Video” and “Game”
    Then plug into ps3
Or download fat32formatter press go add folders plug in to ps3
Format external hard drive in FAT32 using SwissKnife
SwissKnife is a nifty little program that is completely free and that you can use to format many types of external drives such as USB, Firewire, PCMIA, SATA and SCSI. You can also use it to create partitions on an external hard drive and it formats faster than Windows.

So next time you want to format a hard drive in FAT32 and Windows only gives you an option for NTFS, make sure to follow one of the 3 method mentioned above. Enjoy!
