We sincerely hope Sony keeps tabs on its own website, as we've come across an absolute gem of a thread just recently...

The exceptionally talented Steven Shaw, aka 'Scorchio', has submitted a post on the PlayStation.com Forums website proposing a host of improvements (with screenshots) that he believes would substantially improve Firmware 3.0's somewhat disappointing XMB, from the aspects of functionality, presentation, and compilation of user-related information. Quite frankly, we're blown away.

You must see this for yourselves. Head across to the PlayStation.com Forums now! Also, be sure to put aside a modest 64 seconds to watch video footage of Scorchio's ideas in action.

How this humble PS3 user is not on Sony's Development Team, we simply can't fathom. Thanks go to Oscar for bringing this to our attention.
