   Mo, click on the link above under PS3 Custom Theme Editor and you will be able to download the Sony provided software. It has detailed instructions about how to copy the themes to a thumb drive / USB and install them. Please ask if you have any more questions.

    I can’t get it to recognize the themes on my flash drive. I have them saved under F:/PS3/Themes. Does the path matter? I know you have to save the firmware updates under PS3/UPDATE, so I was just wondering. It seems to not want to locate them.

    Ahmed, best thing to do is use the Freewebs.com editor. You can also follow the directions in the Sony version which seem to be working for people.

    I was having a nightmare before but heres a step by step that i sussed out, use the sony theme editor

    1. click on aditional commands,
    2. choose extract p3t and then choose your file….
    3. click open on the bottom and select the same file you chose previously.
    4. then click build, should come up in dos when finished press enter.
    5. after that just click out of aditional commands and back to refresh and your theme should be in yje bottom left box…
    6. insert your usb drive and select it in ’select memorystick drive’
    7. click move theme to selected drive.
    8. then remove and install on ps3 through settings, themes, select theme, install

    Yeah, ok I got it. I was reading the adobe file with it. The little read me on notepad helped me figure it out.

    For anyone who doesn’t know, if you’re trying to install a theme on your ps3 from a flash/jump/thumb drive, the theme must be saved in the PS3/THEME folder of that drive. Caps are necessary.

    it says data corrupt on icon files
    and i loaded the themes in a folder like everybody says and the ps3 wont read it or notice it
    i save the picture and view it and i set it as wallpaper to get back round to change its ok but no icon change

    Logan, try using the other slash “\” and see if that works. Vista and Linux systems are different that way. Good luck!

    LOOK PEOPLE… FOR THOSE THAT ARE HAVING A HARD TIME INSTALLING THE THEMES TO YOUR PS3 IT IS REALLY SIMPLE, JUST DO THE FOLLOWING:

    1. On your USB create a folder named PS3 then another one inside that one named THEME (remember CAP is necessary or else it does not work)
    2. Put all the themes downloaded from this site in the THEME folder
    3. Put your USB in your PS3 then go to Themes and install then just look inside the USB and the PS3 should read it.
    4. Install all the themes you want

    P.S. Remember the CAP of the file names are important or else does not work

    Hey. I’ve been trying this for ages but it doesn’t work.

    How do I download a theme from here? I just click on them and say Save to Disk. When I download them, they are already P3T file. How is that possible? I don’t get all this stuff about getting Sony Editor. I click on the 1st Link above out of the two. Then it gets me that program. Then what? I really don’t get this all.

    Can someone please explain in details. Also, when I do put that P3T file which is oddly that I got it as a P3T file, in my USB Flash Drive and inser it into my just-gotten PS3, go to Settings, Theme Settings them Media Storage, USB Flash, it says: There are no themes. I DO put Caps Lock on PS3 then THEMES. Then what’s the problem?!

    Nevermind. I got it. The problem was that I spelled THEMES not THEME, which is correct and the only name that PS3 will read! But I haven’t used that Editor at all.
