According to research firm Media Create Company, PS3 sales have dropped to lowest numbers since the launch of the system. Media Create Co. estimates that 25,531 PS3 units were sold for the week ending January 14. During the period, overall console sales dropped to 128,274 total units between Wii, PS3, and Xbox 360. That figure represents the lowest number since the launch of PS3 and Wii. Wii sold 93,708 units and Xbox 360 sold 9,035 units during that week. It?s little troubling for Sony to be outsold by Wii by that margin since Sony claimed they have shipped over 1 million units since the launch. The sale should pick up as the new games trickle in for the system.
