PS3-peat?
We have run across interesting and entertaining article comparing the launch of PS2 and PS3. The article goes on to compare several events and coincidences that overlap both PS2 and PS3. For example, it compares the launch and failure of Sega Dreamcast and Nintendo Gamecube to the launch of Xbox360 and Wii. It also compares the incorporation of dvd drive in PS2 to the incorporation of Blue-Ray in PS3. Of course we think it is too early to compare Dreamcast to Xbox360 seeing as Microsoft have unlimited resources to fight Sony. Also, there was no competing format for the DVD as there is for the Blue-Ray.
There is also big financial implication for Sony to succeed with PS3 as it did with PS2. Sony is relying on its gaming division for revenue and profits more than ever.

Just as in PS2, Sony has staked a lot of its future on the success of PS3.
