Ho ho ho... :)
Like all the other motion controllers other than the Wii this is going to suck. Hard.
A while ago a saw a add on for little big planet, where you could move pistons and elastic with the remote by pulling them down.
People say this is like the Wii's motion controller but, Sony took the things that motion controllers have lacked this generation and fixed them in one go. Natal doesn't have buttons so it'll be a 2-D experience (the EyeToy for PS2 basically) you can't turn around and shoot. The Wii, can not tell depth, so you are stuck with a 2-D experience moving just a cursor.
This thing (that should be it's name since it doesn't have one the, "Thing"), has buttons, gives you depth and a cool feature is it puts objects in your hand so you can see yourself with a virtual tennis racket that changes size when you move it, you can switch what you have by changing the color of the sphere, it's amazing and I want it.
I'm happy with the addition, I don't know why everyone gets so upset and pessimistic over it. I look forward to any new way to play video games. I enjoy my Wii, 360, and especially my PS3. Bring it on.
Sony registered eyepetarc.com too - looks like EyePet is getting an add-on or something since arc is the rumoured name.
Was the controller designed by Rudolf?
bleh... motion controllers. I already sense the pure suckage! PS3 gem (or w/e) will suck, and Project Natal will suck even more!
At least games from the PS3s thing might be easy to port to the wii (or the other way around). But then again... we don't need casual games, so the wii can keep their shit!
