PS3 motion controller hinted at for E3
Yes, we realise that the Sixaxis is technically a motion controller. Keep reading.
According to sources on Variety, a heavily rumoured new PS3 motion controller will be revealed at E3 in June. Similar to a patent filed in 2007, the device is apparently quite different to the more famous motion-controller, the WiiMote.
Motion is tracked by a small webcam (likely the PS Eye) and can read different coloured lights, as well as the shape and angle of each light, which will make it far more sensitive and elaborate than Nintendo’s device.
How true is this? We don’t know, but Variety is a reliable source and not known for rumour-mongering. We’ll know for sure at E3.

I don’t mind if they try to copy the wiimote, the PS3 will lead if they are able to make a killer app with this new motion-sensing controller.
If I wanted a damn motion controller I’d get a pissing Wii.
well dont buy it then ya ejit
I believe you mean eejit.
Eejit isn’t even a real word. =P
And you already have a motion controller, Gamoc. It’s called the SIXAXIS!
It’s another word for idiot, I believe. Stick ‘Define: Eejit’ into google and you get a definition of idiot.
And SixAxis isn’t a motion controller, it’s a proper controller with motion capabilities. Or are you saying the Wiimote and the SixAxis are the same?
One of the great things about this controller, that many people don’t seem to realize, is that it will give the PS3 capabilities similar to that of the Wii, with superior graphics and processing power. I’d rather pay about $60 bucks for a controller, than $200 for a whole new console that just takes up space. I’m really sick of people who keep pokin’ holes into good ideas, like this or nuclear power.
Except that it won’t get support like the Wii does and, let’s face it, any time there’s any game on a Wii that I might play, it’d work much better with a proper controller than just waggling my arms around like a moron.
