The 4th series of Devil May Cry is more of enigma at this point due to limited information that have been given to the press in the Tokyo Game Show. Capcom released few screen shots of Dante doing some moves and a trailer to accompany them at the Tokyo Show. By looking at the trailer and the screen shots, DMC4 is clearly still in the early stage of development and Capcom is keeping the "in house" stuff under tight leash. The producer Hioyuki Kobayashi said in a interview with Playstation Hyper Magazines that "Devil My Cry 4 to be an important title because it"s been four years since he worked with Dante (on part 1 of the series) and the game has the number "4" in it. He wants to give players the feeling that Dante is making his world debut once again. He also feels that, both in terms of cinema scenes and gameplay, Devil May Cry 3 offered a complete experience, and he hopes to continue along the lines of that game while adding new elements."
Furthermore, the dante on the screenshots and the trailer in the Tokyo Game Show is not the Dante that gamers will be playing. Capcom wanted to show what the development staff could with PS3 engine. However, the dev team had stated that the new dante will resemble the original dante with more "threatning" look.
