PS3 Games: Tekken 5 Dark Resurrection available in Japan
Sony has released Tekken 5 Dark Resurrection for download via PlayStation Store. As of now, it is only available for the players with Japanese PlayStation Store accounts. Tekken 5 was originally released for PS2 back in early 2005. The Dark Resurrection will support new characters, models, and 1080p resolution. The download weighs in at 830 megabyte and will cost 2,000 yen, about $17 US. The download should make its way to US download soon.
Originally announced a couple of months back for exclusive release through the PlayStation Store, Tekken 5 Dark Resurrection made a surprise appearance today (12/27). The 830 megabyte download is now available for PS3 owners with a Japanese PlayStation Store account. The download costs 2,000 yen (about $17 US), making it the most expensive PlayStation Store download yet.
Dark Resurrection is basically the latest rev of Tekken 5, running in 1080p, and with a new character and some new modes of play. The game can be played in arcade battle, ghost battle and versus modes of play. A gallery mode is also included, which lets you use Tekken Money to purchase classic Tekken movies and more.
