PS3 Firmware 2.70 released

The PS3 2.70 Firmware update has just been released. Check below for the full list of additions.
Friends list on the XMB
- Sort your friends via their online status
- Attach larger files to the messages you send to your friends (file size will increase from 1MB to 3MB)
Video delivery service on PlayStation Store
- Video files you’ve purchased from the PlayStation Store can be backed up to an external storage device and then restored to PS3’s internal hard drive for playback – so you can clear up space on your hard drive and then restore the video anytime in the future
- Videos you’ve purchased for PSP (PlayStation Portable) system can now be transferred to PS3 for playback

Another useless update.
Shite sony, just shite.
Yet again, “thedee51″ fails to realize anyone else’s perspective. Believe it, there are people who find these attributes useful. Besides, Sony wouldn’t invest time and money to program an update if their customers hadn’t requested. I often send images I’ve photoshopped to friends, and most of the time they’re too big, even as a jpeg.
Sort your friends via their online status – dont we already have this? i have ordered my friends to be online then offline so whats the difference?
the file thing is pretty good its worth having anyway… its not a “shite” update but they could of done better but lets see in future.

Not every single update can have something that you DESPERATELY want. They take time to make and, whilst they’re being made, they work on other things and release them.
Stop complaining, more features are always good.
this isnt even in the list but i just read on the update that there is Text chat ingame sounds pretty good so this is a good update IMO
