Project Needlemouse is dead; long live Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 1
As this artcile's title suggests, Sega’s 2D HD remake of iconic 90s platformer Sonic the Hedgehog has been officially unveiled. To say we’re excited would be a gross understatement.
During the last 24 hours, Associate Brand Manager Ken Balough sat down with Gamespot to talk about the prickly blue mammal’s next adventure, which will be available for download from the PlayStation Store later this year. The interview in question can be viewed by clicking here.
Additionally, an official website for this direct sequel to the original Megadrive classics has gone live. Although SonictheHedgehog4.com doesn’t give too much away, it provides a summer 2010 release window, hints at a secret second playable character, and infers that the game will be coming to a fourth platform alongside the PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii.
Welcome back Sonic. We've missed you old friend.
