PlayStation Store Closing
For those of us that live in the San Francisco Bay Area (the home of PS3Vault), we received some sad news this week. The PlayStation store at The Metreon will be closing at an unknown date.
The Metreon is an entertainment complex consisting of a multiscreen movie theater (complete with IMAX), a dining area and of course, the highlight, the PlayStation store. I’ve spent a fair amount of time there checking out games on one of the dozen or so PlayStation 3s set up with various games going. The prices were full retail so I didn’t buy anything (maybe why their sales stunk) but it was a great place to learn about games that, when I bought them, put some money in Sony’s pocket.
The Metreon Sony Store was also a great place to have game launches, swag giveaways and meet and greets with game designers. The actual closing date is not known.

When you titled this article, did you not think that you might scare people when they first read it? If that was your aim, you managed it, because you should specify WHICH PlayStation Store you meant… lol, crisis averted!
