According to reports from all around the internet, Sony’s upcoming online networking / community service, PlayStation Home, is scheduled to appear at the upcoming Online Game & Community Service Conference (OGC) next week.

Details are sketchy at the moment, although it looks like Sony will provide a detailed presentation on the service during the event, on March 14th.

PlayStation Home has been in development since 2005; its aim is to provide an online hub for the PS3 userbase, akin to Xbox Live, but more expansive. Users will be able to create and customize their own virtual “home”, meet other PS3 users and interact with them in a virtual enviroment, and view your gaming accomplishments in our own personal trophy room.

Home is currently planned for a Spring 2008 release.
