PixelJunk Monsters Update Details
The popular and eye-poppingly difficult PixelJunk Monsters is soon to receive an update. Courtesy of the Official Playstation blog we’ve been given details of the patch and what you can expect. It’s a really juicy one too…
The main update comes in the form of trophies *much rejoicing*. As with previously retrofitted trophy patches the game won’t backdate your previous triumphs. Instead, a new Trophy Challenge section will reward you with a shiny prize for completing set tasks.
Next up is the addition of changeable difficulty settings *again, much rejoicing*. A nice touch here is that you can change between settings from level to level and still progress across the island.
There’s a bunch of other neat stuff too like YouTube clip uploading (a la PJ Eden), custom soundtracks and the ability to change the tower selection menu defaults. That should stop me accidentally selling my black-flag level fire tower right when the boss shows up. Must…control…anger…
Anyway, the update is supposed to hit Japanese PS3s Oct 23rd and their US and EU counterparts on Oct 30th.
