The wince-inducing and very amusing PAIN will soon get its first major add on according to the Official Playstation blog. PAIN Amusement Park will be available this summer and is set to bring a whole new world of super-ooches, head smashes and other bone breaking points combos to the PS3.

If you’ve played the original you’ll know the basic idea: launch hapless character from giant catapult across an arena packed with impact hotspots. Then, use your finely honed after touch skills to maximise the length of your pain-chain (man, that sounds so wrong).

The downtown area has seen a number of character add ons which you can purchase via the PS store, however this new update brings a load of new stuff to expand your face-wrecking opportunities. First of all there is a whole new arena to trash: the Fun Spot Amusement Park. The trailer (which you can view via the link above) shows whirling rides, exploding teddy bears, log flumes and all the other fun of the fair.

In addition, the update will bring trophy support and online multiplayer. Having played both single and local mulitplayer versions I reckon the online multiplayer carnage is definitely the way forwards.
