Operation Flashpoint Patch and DLC: ETA ‘a matter of weeks’
Since the release of Codemasters’ Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising, the true-to-life FPS has been subject to harsh criticism from disgruntled gamers who have happened upon various bugs, glitches and other gameplay-related inconsistencies.
In response, the game’s Executive Producer Sion Lenton has spoken to the Telegraph, explaining that a patch fixing these issues is on its way and, at the same time, revealing plans for some significant downloadable content:
‘We’ve got some very ambitious plans with DLC – our first pack is coming up in a matter of weeks [...] ours is a game that lends itself very well to expansion. There will be weapons packs, map packs – all sorts of things we can do to get our product out there.’
Let’s hope Lenton’s words are not falling on deaf ears. As far as we’re concerned, he’s lucked out; let’s just say that an ill-adjusted surround sound set-up, combined with our foolish decision to seek cover behind a Panzer offloading a barrage of 75mm shells, has cost us our hearing.

Flashpoint bottom line for this game is ,they wanted to beat cod4 2 coming out they knew the game had all these problems.And if not what kinda of team do you have working on this project they souldn’t be working any where face it. we got suckered in to buying the game, they got there money now just like if you sale a bad car to a good friend you have to fix the problems or lose the friend and trust me code master if this is not done wright no one will trust you again. This was a greedy move on your part now just make it wright.Im just sorry so many of use where there lab rats with out pay,next time you put something out code master or who ever plz take into acount the people who pays your wages meaning us the public cause without us you look for new jobs.This is not a mean response just a truthful one …oh p.s tell the kids i bought them jeans and that food on there table .rece out
Operation Flashpoint Is By FAR The Best Modern Warfare Game To EVER Be Released, CoD & Battlefield: Bad Company Are For Kids.
Why Is CoD For Kids?.. Giant Hit Boxes & WAY TOO MUCH Auto Aim (Shoot 2 To 4 Feet Beside Someones Head & You’ll STILL Kill Them) CoD Is A Great Example Of Mainstream Garbage.
Why Is Battlefield: Bad Company For Kids?.. Very Unrealistic Gun Damage (Toned Down For Kids), Only Certain Rifles Have 1-Hit Kill Headshots, No Blood & A TEEN Rating (It Takes 3 Shots To Kill Someone From Point Blank With A Hand Gun, Unload An Assault Rifle Clip Into Someone Just So You Can Be Killed In 2 Shots By Them) Another Great Example Of Mainstream Garbage.
Why Is Operation Flashpoint So Much Better?.. 4 Player Campaign Co-Op, 10 To 12 Hour Campaign, Realistic Game Play & Very Realistic Gun Damage, Shot In The Leg(s)? You Can’t Run, Shot In The Arm(s)? Effects Your Shooting Ability, Bleeding Out? Patch Yourself Up &/Or Call A Medic & Also There’s A HARDCORE Mode (It Removes The Entire HUD & Only Gives You A Single Life To Live) There Is No Actual Difficulty Level As The Difficulty Of The Game Is Real War Simulated, Put Operation Flashpoint, CoD & Battlefield: Bad Company In Front Of Someone Who’s Actually Been In The War In IRAQ Or Afganistan & Ask Them Which Is The Most Realistic First Person Shooter & Operation Flashpoint Will Win Everytime, Hands Down.
The AI Complaints About Operation Flashpoint Are Laughable & Minor, I’ve Already Beat The Game Almost Twice Now & In 47 Co-Op Missions I’ve Had 2 Occurrences Where The AI Had A Problem, Now With An AI Patch Due Out Oct.29th Along With The Games First DLC There Is Really Nothing To Worry About, Forget Kids Games Like Modern Warfare 2 & Battlefield: Bad Company 2.. Your Hard Earned Money Would Be Much Better Spent On Operation Flashpoint, Because When It Comes To Realistic Modern Warfare Operation Flashpoint Is Where It’s At.
If You Miss Out On This Great Game You’ll Be Missing Out On One Of, If Not The Best Game To Come Out This Year.

I have watched this game since ‘06 and you would think after 3 or 4 years it would be a great game but the AI was absolute SH!T the campaign was Good realistic although il never trust GameInformer again “Flying cobras to driving Tanks” wonder how much codemasters paid them for that The DLC Skirmish Was worth it Except for 1 thing you should be able to put a selected # of enemies in the “Island tour” deal i was dissapointed over all a 3 out of 5 stars is my opinion
