Ode to the PS3 Calendar Bug

PSN blackout

There probably isn't a soul alive who doesn't know about the PlayStation 3 'calendar bug', a plague of error code 8001050F messages that has been sweeping PS3s internationally for the last 24 hours.

In the absence of a confirmed, fool-proof fix to the problem at time of writing - from Sony, or anyone else for that matter - I felt a little light humour on the subject might help to soothe suffers during this insurmountably traumatic time (sorry, sarcasm suppressed). Call it poetic genius or nonsensical rhyme, but at worst it may induce a few smiles. I give you Ode to the Calendar Bug:

Staring blankly at a screen,
No image to perceive,
The PS3 sits silently;
Its owner can only grieve.
His console gave him games to play,
And good times online with mates.
There was nothing his PS3 couldn’t do...
Except tell him today's date.

Here is where I'd say "rate, comment, subscribe", but as this isn't YouTube just comment.

so far, so good. The date is still 3-1-2010. I tried to change it manually to 3-2-2010, but that didn't change it. I'm just glad my PS3 is back and working.
