Nvidia hurt by lack of PS3 sales
Apparently the poor sale of PS3s is hurting Nvidia as well as Sony. Michael McConnell of Pacific Crest is expecting Nvidia?s share price to decline due to lack of royalties from PS3 sales. The lack of availability at launch and weak title line up has hurt PS3 sales over the holiday season.
“Although poor manufacturing yields on Blu-Ray diodes were the initial cause of PS3 unit constraints at retailers, we have seen evidence of weaker-than-expected consumer demand as availability has improved, likely stemming form overly high prices at retailers and a lack of compelling game titles.”
