No Final Fantasy VII remake "for the time being"
Looking forward to confirmation of the rumoured Final Fantasy VII remake? Well regrettably, Cloud Strife fans, it is our ill-fated duty to forewarn you that you are only sentence away from some disheartening news.
Tetsuya Nomura, character creator at developer Square Enix, has said in a recent issue of Japanese magazine Famitsu (translated on Andriasang) that he doesn’t see a restyled FFVII on the cards “for the time being”. Although this is not a definite ‘no’, ambiguous time-related statements such as this often mean we have a long wait ahead of us.
Still, in Nomura's own words, “it's possible that [Cloud] will appear in other titles as a guest character". That’s got to be some consolation, hasn’t it? No…? Oh well, no harm in trying.

Hi there guys. A little update for all of you fans out there . crisis core script and all game custscenes now on line at www.finalfantasy7.kk5.org. Also am orking on all of the footage from the original game . Got 9 and a half hours of it to upload and edit so will take a while. come on over an have a look.
i like this game so much i am putting al the story from all the games, movies, manga and web novels that were never publishe in the west onto my website (never done it before so gimme some time) check out www.finalfantasy7.kk5.org.) the main story is there all ready. Just looking for the time to get the rest done
P.S. the only reason square are remaking the resto of the ff series is plain and simple. It is because in the west they were accepted . some were never release and as a company who has a francise that is the biggest in the industry and genre's that it operates in, Why wouldn't they. They are a buisness and like every buisness they aim to maxamise their profits. Think of it this way Advent children was a thank you to the fans as was the rest of the entries onto the compelation of ff7. leave them alone and maybe one day... you never know.
Can i be honest . The reason i dont think that they are going to remake this one is beacuse they can't. I don't think that they'll ever be able to reach the success that they had with this tite . It hauled jrpg's kicking and screaming into the mainstream and let's face it the gaming world as a whole is better off for it. Now i would love to see this remade and to see me omnislash shephiroth's ass in 1080p time and time again. But ... I don't know if ot would be the same. For many of us FF7 was the birth of our rpg affair. (I say affair because when play it i ingnore the better half). Part of FF7 success story is that.. it was a first, like and addict chasing a hit wishing he could fell like it was the first time. I don't think it would ever be the same. Be thakfull that they are leaving it alone lest they end up ruining it. As my gran ma used to say if it's not broke leave it alone. Remake's are good but they are never the same because we are not the same. Sure to someone somewhere it would be their first but for us we would never fell the same when we find out clouds past or when aeris dies. Because we know why and how. That was the best part of this game, the characters were so rich and the story so great that it deserves to be left well alone. sorry bout the bad grammar i had to write this on the shady while i was in work.

I was looking forward to that remake and all. But then again, I'm not sure a remake would live up to the original. Particularly in the summons/giant boss department. The current team seem to have something against the way summoning worked in the days of yore although those were my favorite mechanics for that area of gameplay.
