NFS: Shift Demo Scheduled for October
Electronic Arts has released a demo of Need for Speed: Shift for the PC. ‘So what?’ you ask, justifiably. Well, the webpage that provides the PC demo download confirms that a PS3 demo will reach the PlayStation Store on October 1st 2009. Yes, we are aware the game is in stores already, but some of us still believe in the ‘try before you buy’ principle!
EA’s new racer, developed by Slightly Mad Studios in collaboration with Black Box, is being described as ‘adrenaline-packed’ (IGN), ‘the most immersive, sensory racing game’ (Gamepro) and ‘expertly executed’ (PlayStation: The Official Magazine) so, judging by that, it looks like we’re in for a real treat. To be honest, after the unsatisfactory Pro-Street and Undercover instalments, we feel we’re owed it.
If the PC demo is anything to go by, five well-known motors will be available to test-drive in the PS3 demo: the BMW M3 (E46), the Dodge Viper SRT10, the Lotus Elise 111R, the Nissan GT-R, and the Pagani Zonda F (which can be unlocked during play).

Never had a NFS game and ill get this one if i like the demo. I really hope you can get the Zonda F!
I got it last friday, and had some nice hours playing it this weekend.
The cockpit view is just awesome. Not that easy, but very addictive. And my S2000 will get its last finish tonight, the Werksumbau (don’t know what this is in english).
This looks like a rehashed version of Pro-Street to me.. Pro-Street sucked SO bad, t got 5 mins playtime on my PS2 and I’ve since lost the disc and don’t really care to find it… Compile this with the LONG list of complaints and bugs, I can’t see wasting time on this… One site has it listed as the “most bug ridden piece of garbage in a long time”…
I’ll wait for the demo, try it and more than likely end up either passing on this or waiting for it to hit the bargain bin…
Reviews, reading and seeing in game vid of this so far makes me GLAD I bought DiRT2 instead of waiting a week…
