The PS3Vault crew was deeply saddened when Siobhan Reddy broke the news that Media Molecule intends to step away from its ‘Play. Create. Share’ masterpiece, but this morning our frowns were lifted with the announcement of exciting downloadable content coming to LittleBigPlanet over the next month or two.

From today, inFAMOUS 2’s Good Cole and Bad Cole (pictured above) and a host of themed stickers can be purchased from the PlayStation Store for a meagre $2.99. Then, on July 13th Cloud, Aerith, Sephiroth and company arrive in the long-awaited Final Fantasy VII pack, enabling you to re-enact their struggle against the Shinra Corporation in exchange for $5.99. One week later, Rico and Hazmat Trooper costumes come to the Store under the Killzone 3 mini-pack which, like the inFAMOUS 2 add-on, will cost $2.99. UK/EU prices for the aforementioned packs are yet to be confirmed.

You’d think that’d be enough to keep us all entertained, wouldn’t you? Well you’d be wrong. The development team at MM also have plans to bring us three batches of Toy Story costumes, together with a level pack inspired by the Disney films, and there’s even talk of some MotorStorm: Apocalypse goodies too. That’s quite a release schedule!
