The word on the street, Sony Street to be precise, is that some new PS3 bundles are on the way. Not wanting to leave Europe outside in the cold we have news of region-specific bundles for both US and EU natives. Come on down and see what is soon to be on offer.
Coming in Q2 2008 SCEA will launch a MGS4: Guns of the Patriots bundle. Included with the game you’ll get a nice shiny 80Gb drive and one of those fancy Dualshock 3 controllers. Pricing is said to be $499: a steal no less. However, not to be outdone SCEE have confirmed that a Gran Tourismo 5 Prologue bundle will be available across Europe next month. Lastly, there’s even a special pack for you movie fans out there. This one comes with the standard 40Gb EU model and Blu-Ray copies of Spiderman 3, Casino Royale and 300.

It’s gratifying to know that my investment into my 80gb version wasn’t wasted. I was a little ticked that it might be getting replaced by a larger version of the system at the same price, looks like the only thing I ended up missing out on was the DualShock 3, and MGS4…. A bummer, but not as bad as it could have been.
