In anticipation for the upcoming PS3 launch in Europe, Sony will release firmware 1.60 this Thursday. European gamers might be interested if Sony was adding more PS2 games to compatibility list. Looking at the release notes, it doesn?t bode well for immediate updates regarding backward compatibility. Sony adds the Folding @Home functionality for those that want to participate in the Standford led experiment. The other minor updates include better texting with controller, better browser function, and background downloading from PlayStation Store.
