My Thoughts: What’s to Come?
Happy new year, ladies, gentlemen, and everything in between! This ‘My Thoughts’ thing is something I intend to start to inform you of what I think about many things gaming relate – so lets go:
Well, I think the PS3 is going to do well this year. Towards the end of 2007, there were some good exclusives games coming out (Ratchet and Clank Future, Heavenly Sword, Warhawk, GT4: Prologue, etc).
As people have said for games this year, MGS4, LittleBigPlanet (which I really want, even if it has been pushed back to September), Haze, Home, Killzone, Final Fantasy, and lets not forget Burnout Paradise (though it’s 360 too), and these are the games we know are coming – this doesn’t count the many other games that’ll come out during the course of the year, and some of those are bound to be surprisingly good.
So I think the PS3 will kick some ass, though it won’t overtake the little white behemoth (the Wii, obviously), I think it’ll probably beat the 360 into a pulp (though most of them are probably red-ringed already).
Also, people complaining about Gameplay on PS3: Are you insane?
Recent PS3 playable games (no particular order): Calling All Cars (one of the most playable games I’ve seen in a long, long time), Super Stardust HD, Warhawk, Heavenly Sword (didn’t last too long, but it was awesome whilst it lasted), Ratchet and Clank Future, Uncharted, to name the ones I have played (or played demos of). It goes to prove that you can have Graphics AND Playability in games, instead of choosing between the two.
So I think we can look forward to an interesting year, and I can bet we’re gonna see some damn fine games, and we should get Home too, which I personally think is going to be good, too.
