MW2 Glitches will be Patched in Update 1.06
So update 1.05 for the PlayStation 3 version of Modern Warfare 2 is now live. Matchmaking has supposedly been improved, though we’re still not happy. Why? Glitchers.
We’re getting increasingly fed up of gamers exploiting the suicide bomber-esque Javelin glitch and players doing things like hiding inside rocks to claim kills from unsuspecting passersby. Thankfully Infinity Ward’s Community Manager Robert Bowling has confirmed via Twitter that the imminent update 1.06 will fix these issues:
‘MW2 PS3 update 1.06 is the javelin fix, care package glitch fix, and addresses areas where players could get into geo. Like rocks on Afghan.’
Now all Infinity Ward needs to do is prevent people from hacking leaderboards and we might once again be able to use words like ‘honest’ and ‘fair’ in the same sentence as ‘Modern Warfare 2′. Oh look, we just did! Silly us.
Glitchers, hackers, please stop cheating yourselves. All you’re doing is proving to the rest of us that you can’t win by conventional methods.

So many killstreaks ended by an afghan rock looking foe or a fool that runs into a group of my teammates knifing and all we can do is kill ourselves by in turn dispatching him… no better than real terrorists planting IEDs imo. Few more fixes and I’ll want to play more!

This is why i hate javelin glitchers. This morning (around 7) 2 of my friends and i joined a TDM and we were doing decently until half our team decided to leave leaving my 2 friends and i to fend for ourselves. Well… The othere team decided to start caming. HARD. we were getting slightly annoyed then comes around the javelin glitcher. I died only once by him because i had to go to school but according to one of my friends the enemies still camped, still javelin glitched, and they won 7500 to 7300. yeah. fuck the javelin glitch.

I don’t know why so many pple hate the javelin glitch, it’s no different than…….say… dropping a grenade when you’re killed!! some pple forget about that one huh, i hated it, but it was legal?!? I used this glitch a few times (meaning 3/4 not 2-4 HUNDRED) just to see how it worked. frankly I didn’t like not being able to shoot pple, and only being able to knife. the rest of the stuff, like hidding in the radiation area with a sniper riffle, glad that was fixed!!
They should get rid of the grenade launching at the beginning of search and destroy games, as did Treyarch in COD 5. This the biggest design fault in the game, and as a result ruins the tactical aspect of the game to hardcore gamers.

I think you’ll find the Javelin glitch is very different to Martyrdom. A grenade doesn’t explode like a Predator Missile and have the potential to wipeout anything from one person to an entire team on detonation.

The prestige glitch don’t even matter cause it doesn’t improve that players playing capability so who cares. Plus it’s funny to so see a 22 RANK non-prestige wipe a 10 presitge(er) out. The glitches suck but IMO should only be fixed on-line not in the off-line part of the game just so you can mess around when you get bored. IW has done a great job in keeping up on the glitches tho. What they need to focus on now are MAP PACKS. MAPS including:
The real (solo player)TERMINAL
WHISKEY HOTEL
The SNOW STEALTH mission in SPEC-OPS (I can’t remember the name)
The AIRPLANE JUNKYARD like in SPEC-OPS (SNATCH AND GRAB mission)
The FAST FOOD type area in SPEC-OPS (HOMELAND SECURITY mission)
The OIL RIG (that would be sweet. Super Sweet)

why would people want to wast their pathetic little lives trying to find ways to ruin the game and fun for other players? and no glitching is not fun ITS FUCKIN STUPID, makes no sense and is very very annoying, i want to physically hurt every person who thinks glitches are funny or helps win the game. another annoying glitch is the “care package” glitch when they can summon all the care packages they want and turns the whole map into a huge war zone. private match yes this would be funny but doing this on online matches just makes this annoying and destroys your kill death ratio if you decide to stay through the whole match.
I got taken out several times this morning by a sub terrain glitcher on favela. I thought 1.06 was supposed to fix all these so those of us who have learned to play the game through experience would not have our play wrecked by the cheats.Is anyone aware of this glitch by-the-way or is this just MY first encounter with it?
If I were to glitch, I would not do it for kills but for perks like marathon and lightweight pro.

To those who have such a strong opinion and have to try and talk their way into a state of reassurance by saying “they must suck those (insert pathetic language here)” go get a tissue, cry it out, stop bawling, and get better at COD. The only way people can glitch care packages is if you allow them to get the kills for it. This holds true with campers as well, they gave you FMJ for a reason, use it. Now, for the terrain glitchers you have every right to get mad, just calm down and troll them out of their hole with an LMG because yes, that is supposed to be a rock, not some kid with akimbo 1887 pointed at your face.
I recognize that there are also people who say that glitches should be allowed and not patched, to them I have to say, your an idiot. For you to sit in a rock to get kills is pathetic, and if it was to go unpatched there would be nobody to kill because they would be sitting in the rock next to you waiting for someone else to walk by. Granted I have had my fun with the emergency air drop glitch it can and will get boring after a while. Now, the question is, do I suck for using the glitch? Hell no! I’ve had a 2.07K/D since before I even knew of the glitch existed. The last time I remember using it was on a match where the other team had noob tubes, rpgs, martyrdom, and last stand. The time before that was when my friends were facing a team of hot heads who needed to eat a slice of humble pie. Yes going 73-6 is fun but being on the other side is not.
Onto campers. The majority of the time you can easily get around them, just think outside the box for a second and play a little slower for a minute or two. Always have a stealth class on hand ( I have an RPD or ACR Scilenced with any of the first perk, cold blooded, ninja, flashbangs, and either semtex, C4, or a throwing knife with a non-stealthy shotgun because honestly, if your in range for a shotgun, they know your there, don’t get skimpy) and try to go around them. Don’t forget to have fun with the kill cam, get under their skin with mind games and their game performace will suffer. If you are going against someone who is camping in a room with only a few entrances that they can easily guard by themselves toss in a flashbang, let them fire a few rounds, then enter with the shotgun or shoot through the wall. If your person refuses to fire but you know someone is in there (the x pops up as a confirmed hit) toss another flash and run in with the shotgun or plan B, explosives.
In the end, glitches should not be something to freak out about, just move on and die less but they should not be used so much as to claim victory by a landslide.

For the individual who said “The only way people can glitch care packages is if you allow them to get the kills for it.” It takes 2 kills with hardline pro for them to do this if they have their kill streaks set up right. Who can’t get 2 kills in a row? Oh and tell me how to die less when someone gets the unlimited care packages with choppers, airstrikes, and all. You can only do so much hiding in buildings or the cave in Afghan. Oh, they won’t know you’re there, will they.
Anyone who cheats is a loser. It means you haven’t figured out a way to overcome someone in a non-cheating way.
Campers also suck. I’ve used tactical insertion-why I see them I destroy them, but I’ve had people camp mine for the kill.
I think cheating is stupid, and it really ruins the game. I am sick of time outs and crap because some fool is cheating. It is really obvious if you enter a game late and the top player on your team has 2 kills and on the other team the top person has 35. Impressive. It is much more fun to play the game for the real challenge of a fair fight.
What it does is makes people leave the game, stop playing altogether, and then IW pulls the servers because of non-play. I play honestly, am not really that good, but can already play prestige mode. If I can do it, anyone can and I am already getting bored with this. I can’t imagine cheating, because the challenges are just done too quickly and it would get really boring. Cheaters ruined COD4 and are ruining MW2. Most of my friends don’t play it anymore-they play MAG now or something else.
I agree with mw2 fan, complainers need to get over it an glitchers need to use it less. To adress the “Camper” issue I agree with him again, slow down and think, theres always another way to get someone. And if you’ve been Tatical Insertion Camped, think it through, if you die after you put down another insertion, stop putting down insertions! It’s a very simple solution.
Overall, glitchers don’t need to stop but they shouldn’t use it to win, do it once or twice for fun, or in a private game, then play normally for the rest of the game. I’m getting tired of some guy running around using glitches to kill people then telling everyone they suck and he is the greatest(For Example). Just try to have fun.
Solution for making people not camp anymore
-If someone sits in the same building or really close to said building for more than 20 seconds…..It automatically gives them 40 deaths!

possible solution i guess have playlists with and without glitches cuz personally not a fan of glitchers in ranked online matches either but i tend to play alot of mike myers for thoughs of you that know what that is and glitching is a huge part of it which is why i almost prefer cod4 now more because there is actually glitches that get you places that mike myer has to work for or learn how to do its also very funny to do it to family and friends for a round or two and go exploring outside the map for basically a whole new map experience (with tacs of course) but personally glitches like that harmless really care package glitch i get but really now stop whining. also iw should add first person and third to all playlists just cuz some people favor the other game types but cant stand the different views

1.) You guys must get really unlucky to get killed by geo glitchers. I’ve played for 15days and I only once got killed by a geo glitch.
2.) taking out the glitches (elevators, geo, and others) was stupid in my opinion. Nobody ever does an elevator in online play, I only ever see people do them during mike myers (which is pretty much ruined because of no elevator).
3.) campers aren’t a problem. If your playing search n’ destory, and you get camped. That’s your fault, you should suspect campers in search. Also however said that people camped your tact insertion, just don’t put it down, its a waste of equpiment slot unless your playing demolition or something like that. Also your supposed to hide your tact moron
