The word on TheSixthAxis is that fungus-filled strategy game Mushroom Wars will be hitting the PlayStation Network again – this time in the format of a playable demo.

Ok, so we realise developer Creat Studios has adopted the try-before-you-buy philosophy a little late, releasing a demo weeks after the full game was released for purchase, but that’s a technicality. We’re just happy we’ll have a chance to trial this said-to-be utterly addictive, cutesy and mentally challenging PSN title before we part with any of our hard-earned cash.

Mushroom Wars will be available in Europe later this week, and December 10th on the US PlayStation Store. If you can bear to pull yourselves away from Modern Warfare 2 for five minutes, check it out.
