More details on Colin McRae: Dirt

Possibly the biggest surprise is the no-shows of two of the more popular locations from the previous games in the series: Finland and Sweden. Sweden provided the series with its famously difficult snowbound tracks, as well as vastly different driving conditions and environments than any of the other tracks. Finland was also a popular rally, with its treacherous combination of big jumps, hidden bridges and car destroying trees creating carnage in what was otherwise a blissful environment of luscious forests and expansive lakes.
Greece (no big loss) and the USA also depart from the full-length rallies, although the USA still delivers circuits in other disciplines, as do France and Italy who return to the fold having been absent for the last few releases in the series. So what?s the go? This is a tad disappointing for veterans, although it still leaves some 66 tracks to enjoy. Plus, it may not spell the end for these locations - perhaps they will crop up as downloadable content somewhere down the track?
